At SCEA Bolumet in France, Balance flooring from Nooyen Pig Flooring has now been in operation for one year in a free farrowing system. The project was realised in cooperation with our partner Calipro and includes 112 farrowing pens with floor dimensions of 2600 × 2700 mm.

After twelve months of operation, the technical results show strong performance. The farm achieves an average of 15.75 weaned piglets per sow, with peaks up to 16.75 weaned piglets per sow. In addition, the average litter weight is approximately 100 kg.

According to both the farmer and the employees, the flooring performs reliably in daily use and contributes to an efficient and practical working environment in the farrowing house.

This project demonstrates how a well-designed flooring system can support strong technical results and practical farm management in modern pig production.
